It looks like they missed a cracked pelvis when Bunny had her new hip "installed". Sooooo...... she had to go back under the knife on August 7th, 2008. After they got in there they realized nothing had healed correctly so they had to replace her hip AGAIN! Along with some screws and plates here and there for her pelvis. At last check she was doing fine. No word on how long she will be in the hospital yet.
I can't imagine the pain that she has had to deal with while walking and Racing with a broken pelvis. She is one tough woman! I like to play guitar, but if my hand was broken you can bet you A** that the guitar would get mighty dusty. Not her...She has raced all season with these injuries.Unreal.............I'll keep you updated as I find out more.

Much to the delight of all Maryland International Raceway "Bunny & The Boys"Fans, it has been announced that the 2nd Hip Surgery was successful.The "double whammy" operation to cut out the prosthesis that she received in February and to install the new hardware took over 3 hours! The Orthopedic Surgeon gave Bunny the heavyduty model held in place with 5 large screws, which will aid the growth of bone to metal process this time.
In order to speed up the rehabilitation therapy period, Bunny has been instructed that she can't put over 20% of her weight on the right leg for 6 weeks. This restriction has forced her to rely on much slower wheels than she is accustomed to. She has decided to play by the rules in hopes of being back in her Funny Car for the 23rd Annual Superchargers Showdown taking place on Saturday,September 27th, at the Newly Improved Maryland International Raceway in Budds Creek, Maryland. Bunny has been racing for over 43 years and has been a favorite and outstanding competitor in this particular race. As one of MIR's biggest annual races, the crowd pleasing show draws fans from miles around of all ages.
